Are there scheduled events?
No. Flexibility is our middle name. Eat when you want. Scrap all night long, and sleep the day away if you would like.
Does San Diego Scrap Inn have supplies on hand for scrapbookers?
We carry a limited supply of adhesives and other miscellaneous items in case you run out. However, local stores are near by, and we have some late hours available to us for you to sneak in!
Can I come by myself, or do I have to be with a group?
You are definitely welcome either way!
Can I crop for just the day?
Absolutely. Day Croppers are welcome, but is based on availability. We have extra tables, even if San Diego Scrap Inn is full with "sleep-over" guests.
Do I have to share a bedroom?
Well, there are muliple beds in each room, check out our accommodations page for a look. So to answer your question ... yes, but each guest has her own bed, and if you decide to stay up all night scrapbooking, then you can sleep all day instead, and then you could have the room to yourself :) We do try to place guests with people they know whenever possible, but on rare occassions guests may have to share with someone they don't know. We will let you know well in advance if that happens, and would allow you to switch to a different weekend.
I am from out of state and need to fly to San Diego Scrap Inn. How do I get there and do you provide transportation?
Due to insurance regulations, we can not provide transportation. However, we can definitely provide travel help and directions to make your experience more enjoyable.
What is the largest group you can take?
We currently have beds for 12, with the possibility of adding a few more beds down the road. So, there is floor space to sleep more in air beds & sleeping bags; however, due to the extra costs involved, we charge $50 per person beyond the $1800 for a "whole place" rental ... We have enough space for 18 6-foot tables to fit comfortably in the cropping area.
What are the Check-in and Check-out times?
The check in time is 10:00am on Friday or later. The check-out time is Sunday at 4:00pm.
Do you accommodate other hobbies as well?
Absolutely! We are geared toward the cropping crowd, but can accommodate other crafters as well, just contact us directly for most appropriate set up.
Do we have to clean when we leave?
San Diego Scrap Inn does the cleaning for you. We do ask that upon check-out you strip the linens off your bed, load the dishwasher and gather the garbage into one spot.
Why can't I find your address listed anywhere on the website?
We're not trying to do a "we-could-tell-you,-but-then-we'd-have-to-kill-you" type of thing. We are just trying to protect the privacy of our guests. We specifically do not put our physical address out there, because we don't want people just dropping in to check it out when we have guests. We can tell you it is just off I-15, at El Norte Parkway, in Escondido, and if you would be interested in coming by to see the house, we would love to show it to you. Just send us an email or give us a call to set up an appointment. Also, we promise you will be given the address and full directions about a week before you check in.
